Being open-minded is something you are born with; it is an essential tool for your growth and evolution.

A large dose of curiosity is required for a truly open mind.

Curiosity is the vital motivation for all exploration and adventuring; an essential element for moving from one moment to the next, from the known to the unknown; the actuality of life.

At the most fundamental level, life is itself the dynamism between the known and the unknown, so being open-minded enables you to live your life in flow.

You can expand your open-mindedness by being curious, curious about everything and anything.

This does not mean trying everything and metaphorically putting whatever you come across in your mouth, as you might have done as a baby; no, that’s just as dangerous as it was when you started in life! The trick to opening your mind safely is to add a sprinkle of caution to the curiosity.

Try something new, take a different route, dip your toes into the edge of what you are unsure of, find out about stuff you know nothing about, and try on the mirror perception of what you normally think for a bit of fun... BUT... if it doesn’t feel right, you feel uncomfortable, or change your mind, stop; reassess or remove yourself; metaphorically or in actuality, close the book and place it back on the shelf.

Opening your mind is as much about discovering new likes as it is about confirming your dislikes.

If a tiny whiff of spice sets your nose on fire, spice is probably not for you; however, if the metaphysics book was surprisingly enjoyable and easier to grasp than you expected, that's another area of knowledge and a topic of discussion gained.

Practise opening your mind; in doing so, you will invite new opportunities and possibilities that will transform your life.

... Transformation is a practice in self-discovery; a deeper understanding of what is leads to increased perspective and insight.  The deeper you dive, the more you come to know, and the more liberated your soul.  Dive in below for inspiring self-exploration, accompanied by a sprinkling of amusement to uplift your spirit
